"Our faith is at its strongest when we are relationally connected to others. Therefore we believe that Community is non-negotiable."
IN TIMES OF NEED AND TIMES OF FUN, AWAKENING SMALL GROUPS ARE YOUR SOURCE OF FRIENDSHIP AND SUPPORT.
They are your key to developing healthy relationships with those who share your interests, or people who are dealing with similar life issues. Small groups are an opportunity to reach out to others, while growing in your walk with God.
Groups meet in homes, businesses, restaurants, or other locations throughout the city. These groups change and begin at different times during the year, so you have the opportunity to explore different groups, or join groups at any time. You'll never fully experience all Awakening Church has to offer until you connect in a small group!

Finding I Am (9am on USF Campus- Sats)
What is the deep cry of your heart? The ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but He also wants to step in and see you through it. Join Lysa TerKeurst on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Through this interactive, in-depth study we will be trading feelings of emptiness and depletion for the fullness of knowing who Jesus is like never before.
Marriage on the Rock (7pm at AWC-Thursdays)
Society requires years of preparation for almost any significant career endeavor, but demands no real preparation for one of the most crucial undertakings in life: marriage. In an age of disposable marriage and information overload, where can couples turn for real answers that will make their relationships work? Only to God. Marriage on the Rock clearly details God's principles that will turn disillusioned, divorce-bound marriages into satisfying dream relationships.
Single, Dating, Engaged (7pm at AWC- Sundays )
Like a sailor on turbulent seas, we need to look up and see the North Star: the fixed points in the sky whereby we might navigate the objective realities in life. We need the skill-set to know how to journey through life and how to select the right people to journey alongside. In Single, Dating, Engaged, Married we will chart a course through the four relational phases that the vast majority of human beings on the planet will pass through in their twenties: singleness, dating, engaged and married. In each of these phases, we will look at what eternal purposes should be pursued in each stage, and how to pursue them.
Breaking the Power of the Past (7pm in Pinellas- Thursdays)
As imperfect people living in an imperfect world, we eventually confront in nearly every relationship the need to extend or receive forgiveness. But when the wounds run deep, forgiveness doesn’t come easy. This eye-opening study deals with the difficult questions of forgiveness, including How can I forgive when the pain is so great? Does forgiving mean I have to forget the past? and What if I choose not to forgive? As you dig into what the Bible says on this vital topic, you’ll encounter the depths of God’s own mercy and discover how choosing forgiveness can free you from a painful past and propel you toward being all that God intends you to be.
